Stayed there this weekend with parents and family friend. Lovely big rooms with huge comfy beds. Loads of free parking and buffet breakfast was delicious (despite costing an extra £10). Agree that it’s dated hotel but if that doesn’t matter to you then it’s a great hotel. We have all agreed we would stay there again next time we’re in the area. Staff very friendly and always happy to help.
Stayed here last Friday after a wedding at the local venue - Dyffryn Springs. Our stay didn't start too well as during check in we were told that our room wasn't ready although it being well after the advertised time of 2pm. Reception staff were polite and given a free drinks voucher which was well received. Once we got in the room, it was clear that it needs a bit of a modern day upgrade. Everything was functional but the decor was very tired. Perfectly acceptable for a one night stay at the price for a Friday night but wouldn't bring the missus back for a long weekend away. It is on the outskirts of Cardiff but only a 10 minute taxi into the centre.

Room 9 was lovely....large with a fabulous en-suite. Very clean, but so hot and no fan was provided and could not open the other window. Noisy, as room was facing a busy road. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was disappointing, however, that might be my fault. I just assumed it meant the breakfast would be cooked when it said 'breakfast included ', but it was just continental. But on the whole, we did enjoy our stay.
Large double room. Big bathroom ensuite. High ceilings. Comfortable bed. Good selection of food for the continental breakfast. Very pleasant stay. Good value for money. Oh, TV in the bedroom is a smart TV with internet access to YouTube and Netflix. Normal facilitate in bedroom ... Hair dryer, kettle, coffee, tea, etc.

Good friendly service. Popular in Summer so get there early to drink on the terrace. Food well prepared and good value especially their lunchtime menu. Good selection of reasonably priced tapas.
Nice and relaxed but not boring. A good cross section of people enjoying a night out.

Stayed here for 1 night, stayed in room 1 it was a gorgeous large bedroom with beautiful ensuite! The food was delicious and the staff were very polite and lovely! Would definitely stay here again!
Wrote my first review about a year ago citing "Good quality food, a bit nicer than the usual pub fayre. Good Sunday lunch and my daughter enjoys vegetarian Sunday lunch too. Lively, good atmosphere, pleasant but overworked staff". But just wanted to add that the staffing and service has been improved, the food is still great and, by the way, it is dog friendly. Lately tho, it seems the cooking takes iver the whole bar as well as the restaurant. They need to improve their ventilation...

Clean. Tidy. Reasonably priced. What more could you want? Oh a pint of course...

A lovely B&B in an idyllic setting, just far enough from the city centre to be peaceful, yet close enough to be in the city in minutes. We received a very warm welcome, and the owners couldn't be more helpful! Nice clean rooms in a beautiful home, with en-suit facilities. Tasty breakfast in the sunroom/conservatory. Great value for money, and would definitely return and recommend
Very comfortable and welcoming. Our room a double with extra single bed and large settee. Full en-suite bathroom. We loved being so close to St Fagans Museum and being able to nip in via the back gate to it. Very handy for anywhere in the area and buses run from outside. Useful pub with food just round the corner. It's a B&B, not a hotel, so being out from 10 to 5 reasonable. We just filled in the spare time at the Museum. And we liked it enough to come back again.

Bit jaded now. Could do with some serious money spent on it
We recently enjoyed a weekend in Cardiff and felt thoroughly looked after during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks

Comfortable and well located. Friendly hosts and a choice of cooked or continental breakfast. The continental was more than enough for me. A short walk to the centre of Cardiff and Cardiff castle. 2 minutes from the Cardiff cricket ground. An ideal base for a few days in the Welsh Capital. Highly recommended.
We arrived at the Church Guesthouse after quite a long drive and were very well received by our hosts. They were both very kind and helpful and wanted to make sure we had the best stay possible. The room was large and immaculately clean, with a great comfy bed. We felt very refreshed after our one night stay and enjoyed our continental breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay here again and it's highly recommended for anyone interested in seeing the sights of Cardiff . ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Brilliant for visiting city. Easy bike tracks around the city. Next to a park. Pub close. Could do with more showers for the price but nice clean well looked after site. Staff friendly.
Not exactly Quiet if that's what you're looking for. Was small with a road running through the middle, facilities are OK though including an on site cafe. Brilliant for the Cricket ground, Principallty stadium and the City centre.
